Terms of service

No legal entity has been registered yet. The operator of this service has not yet established a registered company, legal address, or jurisdiction. The operator must supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. Until that information is provided, these terms serve as a statement of the intended operating principles of the tool.

Acceptance

By using Certline, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the tool.

What the tool does

Certline is a stateless certificate inspection tool. When you submit a hostname, the server opens a real TLS connection to that host on port 443, reads the certificate the server presents, and returns a report. The tool does not store or log the hostname beyond the duration of the request. There are no accounts, no stored data, no email, no alerts, and no scheduled re-checks.

Certline checks exactly the hostname you type. It does not scan ranges, enumerate subdomains, or perform any action beyond the single TLS connection you request.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Certline for lawful purposes only. You may not use the tool to probe or test hosts you do not own or have explicit permission to test. The operator reserves the right to rate-limit or block access that appears abusive or excessive.

No accounts, no payments

Certline currently has no user accounts, no authentication, and no payment processing. The free tier is available to anyone. The Pro tier is not yet available. Any subscription forms on the site are demonstrations and do not process payments or create accounts.

Billing (Pro subscription — terms that apply when billing is active)

Payment processing is not yet connected. Pro subscription billing is not yet available. The billing terms below describe what will apply once a payment processor (e.g. Stripe) is connected and Pro billing is activated. Until then, no payment is taken, no subscription is active, and the free tier remains available on the same terms as today.

What you buy

A Pro subscription grants access to Pro features — API access for programmatic certificate checks, batch hostname checks, and higher rate limits — for the duration of the billing period. The Free tier remains available without charge.

Price

USD $9 per month (the "Subscription Fee").

Billing period

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is due on the first day of each billing period. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month unless cancelled by the subscriber before the renewal date.

Failed payments

If a payment charge fails (e.g. due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or a declined transaction), Certline will retry the charge automatically up to three times over a period of seven days following the initial failure. You will be notified by email after each failed attempt. If all retries fail, access to Pro features will be suspended until the outstanding balance is successfully paid. The Free tier remains accessible during suspension.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. After cancellation, Pro access continues until the end of the current paid billing period and does not renew. No partial refunds are given for the remaining portion of a billing period.

Refund policy

Because the Pro subscription is a digital service and the core Free tier allows full evaluation of the product, all Subscription Fees are non-refundable. If you cancel, you retain Pro access for the remainder of your current billing period. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

Price changes

The Subscription Fee may change in the future. Subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new fee.

Intellectual property

The Certline name, logo, and site design are the intellectual property of the operator. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

Certline is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied. The operator makes no guarantee that the tool will be available, accurate, or error-free. Certificate inspection results are presented as the server presented them — the operator is not responsible for incorrect, incomplete, or misleading certificate data returned by a remote server.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this tool, including but not limited to reliance on certificate inspection results, service interruptions, or data loss.

Governing law

Once a legal entity and jurisdiction are registered, these terms will be governed by the laws of that jurisdiction. Until then, no governing law is specified.

Changes to these terms

The operator may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
